With a revised design, redesigned interior and new features, the 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander offers a mid-cycle update that reinforces its positioning in the North American market.
What are the main new features of this model? And at what price will it be offered on the Canadian market?
In this article, we review the key changes to the 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander and share all the information you need to get your hands on it at a dealership.
The 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander is a compact SUV with three rows of seats for up to seven passengers.
In the context of the North American market, where sport utility vehicles (SUVs) dominate sales, the Outlander is positioned among the models offering a good balance between space, equipment and price. And unlike its rivals (the Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V and Nissan Rogue), the Outlander is distinguished by the inclusion of Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) as standard on all versions.
For 2025, the model will benefit from a mid-cycle update that will affect both its exterior design and its interior, as well as a number of aspects relating to driving and comfort that we will describe in more detail below.
For 2025, Mitsubishi has made a number of aesthetic and technological changes to its 2025 Outlander, in line with previous generations.
The 2025 Outlander adopts an updated look with a new grille, a redesigned front bumper and smoked LED rear lights that reinforce its premium character. New 18″ and 20″ alloy wheels and a new exclusive Moonstone Grey Metallic paint finish complete the new look.
The 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander benefits from a new centre console design, offering more storage space and a more functional wireless charging zone. It also introduces ventilated front seats, a first for this model, and premium materials such as semi-aniline leather available in Brick Brown.
For music lovers, the 2025 Outlander marks a revolution with the introduction of Dynamic Sound Yamaha, a high-performance audio system developed by Yamaha exclusively for this model in North America. Combined with the SiriusXM 360L service, it transforms every journey into an immersive sound experience.
Mitsubishi has reworked the power steering, suspension and stabiliser bars to deliver a more stable and responsive ride. The Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC), standard on all versions, ensures optimum grip on Quebec roads, whatever the weather conditions.
All versions come as standard with a 12.3″ multimedia screen, wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 360° camera. Higher trim levels also get a 10.8″ head-up display, adaptive cruise control with Stop & Go, and a host of driving aids such as traffic sign recognition and lane keeping assist.
The Mitsubishi Outlander 2025 retains a proven and reliable powertrain:

While the 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander benefits from a styling and technological update, the plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version retains the same features as the 2024 model. No major changes have been announced for this engine in 2025, either in terms of design, equipment or performance. The improvements introduced on the petrol version, including new interior finishes and the Yamaha audio system, will not be incorporated immediately into the plug-in hybrid model.
However, Mitsubishi is planning a more significant update for the 2026 Outlander PHEV, which is expected to pick up these developments in turn, with potentially further adjustments specific to the electrified powertrain. In the meantime, drivers interested in a plug-in hybrid alternative will have to turn to the current version, which remains a benchmark in the market.
