It’s official, the Outlander is being completely redesigned. The largest Mitsubishi SUV in Canada offers a completely redesigned exterior. Once announced as the 2021 vehicle, it will finally be sold as the Mitsubishi Outlander 2022.
Wanting to re-energize it’s vehicle lineup for Canada, Mitsubishi will proceed with a massive revamp of it’s vehicle range for 2021-2022. Therefore, the Outlander is part of the plan, with a much more futuristic style directly inspired by the Mitsubishi Engelberg Tourerconcept, unveiled at the Geneva Auto Salon (Switzerland) in 2019.

Still basing ourselves on the interior of the Endelberg Tourer concept, Model 2022 offers a futuristic interior finish. The Outlander has been grafted with a new, larger central touch screen, a redesigned center console and a more upscale finish.

During its official unveiling, Mitsubishi Canada announced that its new SUV will be available in the spring of 2021. Upon its release, it will carry the 2022 model year. The name Mitsubishi Outlander 2021 will therefore never be used.
At the current time, no pricing information has been released in regards to pricing by Mitsubishi. We will have to be patient for a little while longer to get this information in regards to this latest-generation SUV.
As for the plug-in hybrid version, the Outlander PHEV, it will have a 2021 model many performance enhancements, notably on it’s 100% electric range.
Aesthetically, however, the hybrid version will keep the appearance it has today. We’ll probably have to wait a few years to see the aesthetic changes for the Outlander PHEV.
The gas-powered Outlander 2022 offers the capacity for 7 passengers. In terms of exterior dimensions, the new version remains virtually identical to the previous version we know.
